One Donor's Story
Dear Desire Street Ministries,
The enclosed donation is actually from my 9-year-old son, Josh. About 9 months ago, he started saving a portion of his allowance that he would donate to a charity of his choosing.
He wanted to wait until he had, in his opinion, saved a substantial amount of money. When he decided that he was ready to make his donation, I asked him to which charity he would like to donate his money.
We periodically discuss different types of causes and organizations to whom he could make the donation. He said he wanted the money to go to Danny Wuerffel's organization. I am a Florida graduate and he has become a Gator fan.
So Josh gave me the $68 he had saved and I deposited it into my checking account (he doesn't have one yet). The enclosed check, although, with my name on it, is really from my son, Josh.
