anticipate the work God will do through these efforts. Throughout our history, the summer has been a special
time to impact the lives of youth. And this summer is no
exception.

Urban Institute
are unique opportunities to invest
in the lives of youth from at-risk communities who find themselves
with free time ... and few positive influences.

Become a Neighbor
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” Mark 12:30
A great way to become involved in Desire Street Ministries' transformational programs is to become a Desire Street Neighbor. As a Neighbor, you will have a significant impact  on the lives of needy youth and families by
moving in, in a spiritual sense, to the neighborhoods we serve. Your monthly gift of $30 or more will be used to support,
empower and expand vital ministry programs including Desire Street Academy, Bible studies, summer camps
and our Urban Institute. Or, if you prefer, you can designate your support specifically for Baton Rouge, which will undergird Desire Street Academy. For more information on the Neighbor program, please contact Diane Hitzfeld at development@desirestreet.org

Physical Needs
 We currently need shelving for our library at Desire Street Academy in Baton Rouge.
Also on our needs list are two vehicles to use in our New Orleans ministry programs for transporting kids, and also for transporting construction materials.
