Desire Fellowship

Several former staff members are re-planting a church in the Ninth Ward to address the needs of their neighbors. Desire Fellowship's vision is to make disciples for the kingdom of God, and to see people develop authentic internal relationships with God that inspire external changes in the community.

Most of Desire Fellowship's leadership team was raised in the Ninth Ward. So they feel strongly the community is in need of strong, Christ-centered leaders who can work together across barriers of age, race, politics, education and economics. They hope, through Christ, to develop a strong network of believers in the community who will be committed to developing these leaders.

Besides worship services, the church offers Lunch Bible Study at Carver High School, Temple Fitness classes, a book club, youth camp trips and several other great ministry programs.
